Host: Women's International Club Jakarta
WCI’s 40th anniversary year. Dr. Jungsook Kim gave the keynote address, a panel explored women-led enterprise and cultural heritage, and Pooja Assomull (2026) and Gina Alamsjah (2020) received the Marian Adair Award. Participants called on the Governor of Jakarta, walked through the Friendship Tunnel between Istiqlal Mosque and Jakarta Cathedral, learned batik in Giriloyo, visited Borobudur and dined at the Paku Alam Royal Palace. A post-conference trip to Bali followed, May 1–5. Jakarta had first been chosen to host in 2020, when the pandemic cancelled the conference. Thank you, Women’s International Club Jakarta!
Theme“Bridging International Friendship & Empowering Women Globally”
Host: Welcome to Taipei International Club
About 110 members and more than 120 banquet guests. Taiwan’s Vice President Bi-khim Hsiao and Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an welcomed attendees, Madam Julie Chien received the Marian Adair Award, and the UN Council round table presented a resolution on climate change. It was the clubs’ first conference in person since the pandemic; after aftershocks of an earthquake, the post-conference trip moved to Sun Moon Lake. Thanks to President Vivienne Shen, Joan Fuh and the host committee.
