About us

The Welcome to Turkish Cyprus Club brings women together for friendship and for the good of our community. We believe that even the smallest act of kindness can ripple into big waves of change.

In the 2025–2027 term, led by our President Işın Ramadan Cemil, we have supported a rehabilitation center, children’s scout camp and wheelchair athletes, joined the campaign against violence against women, and enjoyed art and fellowship together.

Our club hosted the WCI Board of Directors meeting in 2017. We sponsor young sportswomen, such as high-jump champion Buse Savaşkan, and sent help after the earthquakes in Izmir in 2020 and in Türkiye in 2023.

Club news

  1. Wheelchairs for athletes

    We donated wheelchairs to athletes taking part in a wheelchair basketball tournament in France.

  2. Say No to Violence Against Women

    Our members joined the Awareness Walk for the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women.

  3. Our President in theLINK: Işın Ramadan Cemil

    theLINK magazine featured our President, Işın Ramadan Cemil, among the “WCI Women Who Make a Difference”. Born in Limassol, she studied in Istanbul, Ankara and at the Sorbonne, became the first woman on the diplomatic staff of the Turkish Cypriot administration, and later led her family’s company. She supports many social and charitable causes, from shelters for women to wheelchair sports, and has led our club since December 2014. Her motto: “liberty, equality, fraternity”.
