About us
Welcome to London International Club builds friendship through the sharing of impactful work, understanding of the issues women face, and education through webinars, events and conferences.
In 2025 the club became a member of the National Alliance of Women’s Organisations (NAWO) and took part in the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, including events at the House of Lords.
Our club was started in 1983 by Jocelyn Jones and her friends. Jocelyn later founded the Federation of International Women’s Associations in London (FIWAL) as well, to link London’s international women’s clubs under one umbrella.
Our club hosted WCI’s first International Conference in 1990, when Jocelyn Jones was our president, and celebrated its 40th anniversary in May 2023. In March 2025 we rejoined WCI as its 18th member club, with Nesrin Comert as Charter President.
