Women’s International Club Jakarta
Jakarta, Indonesia
Serving Indonesia’s communities since 1950.
About us
Women’s International Club Jakarta is home to 300 members of 23 nationalities, 60% Indonesian and 40% expatriate. Through our Social Welfare Committee we support 12 institutions: orphanages, homes for seniors, a mental health facility and a shelter for cancer patients. Our Scholarship Committee supports 50 students at four universities in Jakarta.
The club was founded in 1950 by women of four nationalities, from India, Indonesia, the United Kingdom and the United States, with the motto “Friendship Through Understanding”. It is secular, non-political and run by an Executive Committee of Indonesian and expatriate members.
Our Annual Charity Bazaar is one of the largest gatherings of international communities in Jakarta. In 2026 we celebrated our 76th anniversary and proudly hosted the WCI 17th Biennial Conference.
Our Charity Bazaar in 2023 welcomed some 15,000 visitors and raised about USD 350,000 for our projects. We celebrated our 75th anniversary on April 24, 2025.
